  1. Conduct pre-audit planning: define audit objectives, scope, methodology and approach.
  2. Perform risk assessments over business units/processes to identify key audit areas.
  3. Develop detailed audit programmes (tests, sampling, procedures) and execute fieldwork in line with approved plans.
  4. Review whether business units/processes adhere to policies, procedures, laws/regulations and internal control frameworks.
  5. Document audit working papers and maintain records of evidence supporting findings and conclusions.
  6. Identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies or compliance gaps; provide practical and value-added recommendations for improvement.
  7. Prepare and deliver audit reports (findings, root cause, risk implications, recommendations, management responses and action plans).
  8. Lead (or assist) closing meetings with auditee management, discuss findings and agree on action plans and timelines.
  9. Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure agreed actions are implemented.
  10. Assist in development and update of audit methodology, quality assurance and improvement programmes for internal audit function.
  11. Provide advisory/consulting support to management when requested (e.g., new processes, policy design, control enhancements).
  12. Occasionally perform special investigations or ad-hoc audit tasks as assigned
