JOB SUMMARY: The Payroll Officer will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of disbursement. Their duties include maintaining accuracy of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) in collaboration with Human Resources Department; preparing regulatory, management and financial reports; and resolving discrepancies, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee accuracy of payroll inputs and settings in the HRIS to ensure accurate outputs for payroll register and other related reports
  • Monitor timesheet review and audit for discrepancies
  • Oversee that payroll and other benefits is processed based on timesheet data, job offers, company policy, relevant laws and regulations
  • Oversee tracking of employee loans and schedule of agreed-upon payment schedules
  • Oversee timely monthly contributions and/or loan remittances to respective government agencies (SSS, HDMF, PHIC and the BIR)
  • Ensure that employee payroll inquiries are addressed; and any payroll-related issues, such as paycheck discrepancies and tax withholdings are resolved
  • Ensure proper documentation in relation to labor and tax compliance
  • Safeguard payroll records and procedures to ensure confidentiality
  • Monitor that payroll and other related expenses and balances are properly recorded/maintained in the accounting system
  • Provide management with manpower-related analysis, insights and recommendations from reports available in the HRIS, and other data available

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Accounting Technology
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in payroll management, reporting and analysis
  • At least 1 year in a leadership role
  • Proficient in using HRIS or payroll systems
  • Proficient in Excel functions, including PivotTables and Lookup formulas.
  • Has good critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Can work on-site in Mandaluyong City
