About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic team at AFDR INSURANCE BROKERS INC.' in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
2. Overseeing the accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
3. Providing financial advice and guidance to the management team on a range of business and operational matters
4. Collaborating with other departments to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
5. Participating in audits, tax planning, and compliance activities to safeguard the company's financial interests
6. Mentoring and developing the skills of junior members of the finance team

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in accountancy
2. Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) – Philippines
3. At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, tax and related in finance
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, Oracle, IBS) and MS Excel
5. Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
6. Strong understanding of accounting principles, audit procedures, and relevant financial regulations
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information
8. Prepare audit working papers and reports.
9. Experience in leading and mentoring a team of finance professionals
10. Proficient in the use of financial software and data analysis tools
11. Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Taxes) with the BIR and SEC compliance requirements
12. Ensure accurate and timely compliance with all tax reporting and payment deadlines.
13. Assist in tax planning to optimize tax liabilities.
