Technical Support Specialist

· Diagnose and repair desktop, laptop, and peripheral hardware issues

· Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications

· Perform structured cabling installations, including patch panel terminations and cable testing.

· Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN).

· Maintain and support various printer models, including multifunction devices and networked printers.

· Respond to helpdesk tickets and provide timely resolution to technical problems.

· Document technical procedures, configurations, and support activities.

· collaborate with other IT team members to support infrastructure projects and upgrades.

· Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards.

Qualifications:

· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

· Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in hardware support, network cabling, and printer maintenance.

· Experience with IT asset management systems

· Knowledge of basic electrical safety and cabling best practices

· Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.

Familiarity with structured cabling standards (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics)

Understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and basic networking concepts

Experience with printer diagnostics, firmware updates, and consumable replacement

Proficiency in Windows OS and basic command-line tools

· Soft Skills:

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and customer service orientation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Attention to detail and documentation skills
