Job Summary:

The Technical Writer is responsible for developing, organizing, and maintaining clear and comprehensive operational manuals, technical documents, and process guides. This role ensures that all documentation is accurate, consistent, and accessible to support internal teams and end-users. The Technical Writer works closely with engineers, programmers, and project managers to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly materials.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures and manuals.
  • Research, develop, and document technical design specifications.
  • Produce electronic and printed documentation, including user manuals and process guides.
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
  • Analyze documents to ensure continuity, clarity, and consistency in content and style.
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature and documentation.
  • Determine the appropriate type and format of publications to best serve project requirements.
  • Plan writing processes, establish timelines, and meet documentation deadlines.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and project managers to gather detailed information about products, processes, or systems.
  • Assess the audience's needs and adjust tone, structure, and technical language for clarity and comprehension.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to develop diagrams, charts, and visual aids that enhance understanding of technical content.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer or Documentation Specialist, preferably in an operational or technical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
