Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with game operaters, producers, and designer to define research goals and questions for ongoing game projects.
  • Design, execute, and analyze user research studies including playtests, usability tests, interviews, surveys, and focus groups.
  • Recruit and manage participants that match target player demographics.
  • Observe players during gameplay sessions, identify usability issues, and gather behavioral data.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to uncover patterns, insights, and player pain points.
  • Communicate findings and actionable recommendations to cross-disciplinary teams through reports and presentations.
  • Help teams interpret player feedback and prioritize improvements based on user needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with user research methodology, tools, and best practices within games and interactive entertainment.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Game Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in user research, UX research, or
  • playtesting in games or software.
  • Strong understanding of research methodologies (interviews, surveys, usability testing, analytics, etc.).
  • Experience with statistical tools and qualitative analysis. 4.Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for games and empathy for players of all backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
