B. Role Summary
The HRO (OLD) is the key operational specialist responsible for the comprehensive non-technical preparation of candidates. This role designs and delivers mandatory Pre-Departure Orientation Seminars (PDOS), cultural competency training, and customized learning modules to ensure OFWs are fully compliant, culturally adaptable, and professionally ready for deployment to the US, EMEA, and APAC markets.
C. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Mandatory PDOS Facilitation: Design, schedule, and personally facilitate the mandatory Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) for all successful candidates, ensuring the curriculum strictly adheres to DMW guidelines (worker rights, contract terms, host country law basics).
- Global Competency Training: Develop and conduct specialized Cross-Cultural Orientation modules tailored to the specific region of deployment (e.g., US workplace professionalism, EMEA communication etiquette, APAC hierarchical norms).
- Welfare and Compliance Training: Implement modules on Financial Literacy, Mental Wellness, and Stress Management specific to remote/migrant working life. Ensure candidates fully understand their visa requirements, social security, and health coverage in the host country (US, EMEA, APAC).
- Skills Enhancement & Professionalism: Develop and execute short professional readiness courses (e.g., advanced business communication, time management across time zones, digital security best practices) to bridge the gap between academic life and professional deployment.
- Documentation & Certification: Maintain meticulous records of all training completion, issue PDOS certificates, and ensure this documentation is correctly compiled for the final DMW contract verification and Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) issuance.
D. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Education, or Communications.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in training facilitation, instructional design, or public speaking, ideally within an OFW, BPO, or global services context.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging content and conduct large-group seminars.
- Strong working knowledge of DMW PDOS requirements and OFW welfare issues is a significant advantage.
