Job Summary
HR Specialist is responsible for managing the overall HR functions of the poultry operations. This role ensures compliance with labor laws, supports employee development, and fosters a healthy work environment. The HR Specialist will oversee recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and the development of policies that enhance organizational efficiency and employee well-being
Recruitment and Staffing
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, screening, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and update or create job descriptions.
Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Assist employees in availing themselves of government services such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and the company-provided HMO.
- Provide guidance to employees regarding their government-mandated benefits and assist with inquiries related to these services.
- Coordinate with finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Employee Relations and Welfare
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Address grievances and conflicts, ensuring resolutions are timely and fair.
- Promotes implementation and compliance of company policies, and disciplinary matters and provides insight on labor law.
- Oversee the process of employee dismissals, ensuring all legal procedures are followed, proper documentation is secured, and exit interviews are conducted.
Training and Development
- Identify training needs and organize employee development programs, especially in safety and skill enhancement.
- Support career development initiatives, including performance appraisal systems.
- Plan and manage company events that foster team building, employee recognition, and overall morale, ensuring all programs are aligned with the company's values.
Performance Management
- Monitor employee performance and attendance in coordination with department managers.
- Advise on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including performance evaluations and attendance.
Compliance and Policy Development
- Ensure compliance with national and local labor laws, especially those related to agricultural employment.
- Maintain records on salaries, contracts, working conditions, and redundancy packages..
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of labor legislation and payroll processes.
- Good understanding of the full recruitment process.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid problem-solving and team management abilities.
