OVERVIEW OF THE JOB:
The Total Rewards Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of employee compensation, benefits, and timekeeping processes. This role ensures compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies, maintains precise employee records, and supports initiatives that enhance employee well-being and engagement.
Compensation
- Ensure compliance with compensation policies and labor regulations.
- Participate in salary and market benchmarking to support compensation strategy.
- Conduct research on compensation trends and best practices.
- Assist in the annual review of the company's rewards program by benchmarking against top industry players.
Benefits Administration
- Facilitate enrollment and removal of employees in government-mandated and company-initiated benefits.
- Coordinate renewal of HMO, life insurance, and other employee coverage.
- Communicate benefits programs effectively to employees.
- Process government and bank loan applications and provide timely updates.
- Oversee uniform distribution and fitting for regular employees.
- Support planning and execution of wellness programs and annual physical exams.
- Assist in processing SSS sickness and maternity benefits.
- Prepare resignation acceptance letters and assist in clearance procedures.
- Submit periodic reports to government agencies and ensure compliance.
- Liaise with external agencies for statutory and benefits-related matters
Timekeeping
- Review and validate Daily Time Records (DTR) prepared by the Timekeeping Unit.
- Ensure timely submission of DTRs to the Payroll Team.
- Collaborate with the Timekeeping Team on the rollout, parallel run, and full migration to the new HRIS system.
- Monitor attendance-related concerns and escalate issues as needed
Performance Management
- Review performance appraisal reports and support documentation for personnel actions (e.g., promotions, salary adjustments)
- Prepare Personnel Action Forms based on approved recommendations
Administrative Support
- Process requests for Certificates of Employment and respond to employment verifications.
- Prepare monthly reports on administrative cases and performance violations.
- Provide administrative support to HR leadership as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology
- Must have at least 5 years working experience in compensation, benefits, and timekeeping administration
- Preferably with 3 years of experience in a supervisory or officer-level role.
- Must have a strong understanding of government-mandated benefits and timekeeping systems.
- Familiarity with compensation and benefits principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and negotiation skills for partnership (insurance, health coverage plan and the like)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Effective organizational and records management skills.
- Sound decision-making and negotiation capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS platforms.
