Home-Based Accounting Supervisor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Home-Based Accounting Supervisor to support the day-to-day financial operations of our U.S.-based client. In this role, you will oversee accounting processes, ensure financial record accuracy, and provide leadership to a team of bookkeepers. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Team & Operations Management (25%)

• Lead, guide, and support a team of bookkeeping professionals

• Monitor team workload, manage capacity, and handle status updates and requests

• Report progress and engagement milestones to U.S.-based partners and leadership

Accounting Oversight (75%)

• Oversee general ledger accuracy and review client records for completeness

• Perform detailed analysis of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow

• Supervise and document month-end close processes

• Assist in setting up accounting workflows and documenting procedures

• Deliver strategic financial insights based on data review

• Ensure all processes follow GAAP and client-specific standards

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Experience: 3–5 years in general accounting and supervisory roles

• Language Proficiency: Strong English verbal and written communication

• Schedule: Able to work graveyard or U.S. business hours from the Philippines

• Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data management)

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on Xero experience (not just certification)

  • Familiarity with Gusto, Keeper, and is a plus

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite

• Industry Knowledge:

  • Experience supporting U.S.-based clients (client-facing preferred)

  • In-depth understanding of GAAP and other relevant financial guidelines

  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required

• Salary Range: Php 55,000 – Php 60,000
