Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lodge financial statements, tax returns, and BAS for Australian businesses and individuals.
  • Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of SMSF accounts, tax returns, and compliance documentation in line with ATO and ASIC requirements.
  • Perform reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and end-of-month reporting.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bookkeeping as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Australian tax advisors, auditors, and financial planners when needed.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial insights to support client decision-making.
  • Maintain client files, records, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an Australian setting.
  • Knowledge of SMSF is ideal but not required
  • Proficiency in Australian accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, BGL Simple Fund 360, Class Super).
  • Strong understanding of Australian taxation, GST, and superannuation laws.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients/tasks remotely.
