We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Accountant to manage the full cycle of inventory accounting, vendor payments, and customer invoicing. This is a critical role that ensures the financial accuracy and smooth transactional flow for our operations. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred to bring a high level of expertise and regulatory compliance to the role.

Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)

This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting functions, reporting directly to the Finance Manager and Inventory Program Leader.

Inventory Accounting Focus:

  • Maintain and reconcile the inventory subledger to the general ledger.
  • Track, account for, and analyze inventory transactions (purchases, transfers, sales, adjustments).
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances, stock discrepancies, and valuation concerns.
  • Ensure accurate costing and apply inventory valuation methods (FIFO).
  • Perform periodic inventory counts (cycle counts) and reconcile differences.
  • Prepare essential inventory reports (aging, turnover, etc.).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory.

Vendor Payments & Customer Invoicing:

  • Process vendor invoices for all purchases, ensuring accuracy and timely payment in accordance with agreed terms.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies in PO, delivery notes, and invoice matching.
  • Generate accurate and timely customer invoices based on sales orders and agreed terms.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) aging.
  • Maintain vendor files and ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance.
  • Collaborate with sales, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure billing and documentation accuracy.
Qualifications (What You'll Need)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in inventory, accounts payable, and/or accounts receivable.
  • Certification: CPA designation is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of inventory systems, accounting principles, and transactional flows. NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly communicate financial and accounting information to non-accounting professionals.
  • Work Style: Ability to work independently with limited supervision, prioritize daily activities, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
