About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to join our Inventory on Demand program. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy of inventory accounting, vendor payments, and customer billing processes. You'll work closely with our supply chain, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth transactional flow and reliable financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Accounting

  • Maintain and reconcile the inventory subledger with the general ledger.
  • Record and monitor inventory transactions (purchases, transfers, adjustments, and sales).
  • Investigate variances, stock discrepancies, and valuation concerns.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and reconcile results.
  • Prepare reports on inventory aging, turnover, and valuation accuracy.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory.

Vendor Payments

  • Process and validate vendor invoices for both inventory and non-inventory purchases.
  • Monitor payables and ensure timely vendor payments according to terms.
  • Resolve PO, delivery, and invoice matching issues with purchasing and warehouse teams.
  • Maintain proper vendor documentation for audit and compliance.

Customer Invoicing

  • Generate accurate and timely invoices based on sales orders and delivery documents.
  • Monitor receivables and assist in collection follow-ups when needed.
  • Coordinate with sales and logistics for billing accuracy and documentation.
  • Address customer inquiries related to billing and account statements.

Other Duties

  • Assist during internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives in inventory, payables, and receivables.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to inventory, AP, or AR.
  • Working knowledge of inventory systems and accounting principles.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setup.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
