As Estimating Manager, you will lead and oversees the cost estimating function within our organization for interior and other related projects across Australia and New Zealand. This role involves managing a team of estimators locally in the Philippines and delivering estimates to our local Australia and New Zealand teams, developing estimating procedures, and ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects. You will also play a key role in the bidding process and provide crucial cost information to support project planning and execution.

Work Setup: Full-time; Regular; Morning - 6:30am-3:30pm PH Time; Hybrid Makati

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the estimating team, including resource planning, mentoring, and performance oversight.
  • Develop and implement standardized estimating procedures and systems.
  • Oversee the bidding process to ensure completeness, competitiveness, and accuracy.
  • Analyze project requirements from plans/specs to determine labor, material, and equipment needs.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and breakdowns, accounting for potential cost variations.
  • Communicate estimates and updates to management, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy through quality assurance and process audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement and benchmarking in estimating practices.
  • Provide expert cost planning and budget support to project teams.
  • Foster collaboration, communication, and a positive offshore team environment.
  • Identify and resolve project or team-related issues and escalate as needed.
  • Manage resources (time, budget, materials) efficiently across projects.
  • Support training, development, and growth of team members.

Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience estimating experience.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Experience completing and managing commercial Fitout estimating projects
  • Experience working with AU / NZ clients and a very good level of communication / English skills
  • Proficiency in Estimating Software and Tools: Experience with relevant estimating software and tools is essential.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
