Supplier Development Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) to join our global operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in production flow, lean principles, production planning processes, line balancing, material movement, and testing at all manufacturing stages (SMT through Assembly, Test, and Packaging). This role will focus on supplier performance improvement, issue resolution, and driving continuous improvement across our consumer electronics supply base in Asia.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with PRADCO/Moultrie manufacturing operations, quality, engineering .

Supplier Performance & Development

• Represent PRADCO/Moultrie in developing lean manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement and cost savings at our supplier partners and sub-tier sites.
• Assess, qualify, and develop suppliers to meet company quality, cost, delivery, and service requirements.
• Partner with suppliers to drive improvements in yield, cycle time, throughput, and operational efficiency.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and optimize production processes.

Production Flow & Process Analysis

• Evaluate production planning, line flow, and material movement within supplier factories to identify bottlenecks and constraints.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions to improve process efficiency.
• Work with suppliers to establish and refine process controls and monitoring systems.
• Perform manufacturing process reviews.

Quality & Testing Oversight

• Review and support incoming inspection, in-line testing, and end-of-line acceptance testing processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to enhance test coverage, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.

Collaboration & Communication

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between suppliers and internal engineering, operations, and quality teams.
• Provide regular updates on supplier readiness, capacity, and risk management.
• Support cross-functional teams during new product introduction (NPI) and product ramp-up phases.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
• 5+ years in supplier development, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering within the consumer electronics industry.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• REQUIRED: Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt).
• Experience with supplier quality systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949 a plus).
• Proven experience in production flow, line balancing, production planning, material movement, and testing processes.
• Experience with 8D / DMAIC, pareto analysis, root cause / corrective action processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to resolving supplier production issues.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test requirements.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence without authority.
• Effective communicator with strong cross-cultural collaboration skills.
• Amenable working in US Time zone. (Central Standard Time).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php160, Php190,000.00 per month
