1. Job Purpose

The Safety Officer III is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring occupational health and safety programs in compliance with national regulations, industry standards, and company policies. This role ensures the workplace remains free from hazards, promotes a culture of safety, and leads initiatives for incident prevention and continuous improvement.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Program Implementation
  • Develop, update, and enforce the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend control measures for hazard prevention.
  • Coordinate safety drills, toolbox meetings, and safety orientations for employees.
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) OSH Standards, RA 11058, and other applicable laws.
  • Maintain required safety permits, certificates, and documentation.
  • Monitoring and Inspection
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare corresponding reports.
  • Training and Awareness
  • Facilitate safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Disseminate safety information through bulletins, posters, and announcements.
  • Incident Management
  • Lead the emergency response team during accidents or disasters.
  • Prepare incident and corrective action reports, and follow up on implementation.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain safety records, incident logs, and compliance reports.
  • Submit monthly and quarterly safety reports to management and government agencies as required.

3. Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Certification: Must be a DOLE-accredited Safety Officer III with completed Construction Safety and Health Training (COSH) or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in safety management, preferably in [construction/manufacturing/industrial] settings.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of OSH standards and legal requirements.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in safety inspection tools and reporting systems.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Zero lost-time accidents/incidents.
  • Timely submission of required safety reports.
  • 100% completion of safety orientations for new hires.
  • Compliance with regulatory audits and inspections.

5. Working Conditions

  • Work is performed on-site.
  • Requires regular site inspections, exposure to varying weather conditions, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php22, Php25,000.00 per month
