EHS Officer prepares/promotes and implements the company's environmental, health, and safety program.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. Prepares/promotes the Project Construction Safety and Health Program.
  2. Conducts management, staff, and workers training on environmental, health, and safety practices.
  3. Ensures the company is aware of and complies with all legislation relating to its duty of care, workplace activities, and the use of its equipment and substances.
  4. Ensures Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, hard hats, and protective gloves are being used in workplaces according to regulations.
  5. Ensures that workplaces conform to organizational procedures and safety standards.
  6. Inspects workplaces and workplace equipment, such as scaffolding to ensure they meet safety regulations and to identify hazards and risks.
  7. Identifies work areas for potential accidents and health hazards such as toxic fumes and explosive gas-air mixtures and implements appropriate control measures.
  8. Records and reports hazards, accidents injuries, and health issues within the workplace.
  9. Assists with investigating accidents and unsafe working conditions, studying possible causes, and recommending remedial action.
  10. Prepares/promotes implementation of emergency procedures, firefighting procedures, and the use of first aid crews.
  11. Communicates frequently with management to report on the status of occupational health and safety programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. The candidate be a graduate of Engineering courses, preferably Electrical or Civil Engineering.
  2. Must have at least worked as a Safety Officer in a construction company or a power industry for at least 3 years or more.
  3. Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Must possess good organizational skills, diligent, and excellent attention to detail.
  5. With training in COSH, BOSH, and Loss Control Management, and should be aware and knowledgeable of ISO 9001:2015.
  6. Proficient in all MS Office applications.
  7. Knowledge of writing safety reports and policies for health and safety.
  8. Must be willing to work and be assigned NATIONWIDE.
  9. Must be willing to start or join immediately.
  10. One (1) Full-Time position is available.
