Job Summary – Safety Officer

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment across all project sites. The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety protocols, conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and promoting a culture of safety among workers and contractors. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively in high-risk situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.

  • Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures.

  • Ensure compliance with safety laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for site personnel.

  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training.

  • Investigate accidents and incidents; prepare detailed reports.

  • Coordinate with site supervisors and project managers on safety issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or related field

  • Certification in Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH/COSH)

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction or industrial environments

  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk management practices

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
