Be the expert who ensures our vessels operate safely, efficiently, and in line with global maritime standards. You'll bridge the gap between regulations and real-life shipboard practices, guiding crews, improving cargo operations, and leading safety audits. Your work will protect people, cargo, and the environment while elevating fleet performance to its highest potential.

Your Mission

Bridge Procedures & Navigation

  • Conduct vessel visits to assess navigation practices, passage planning, and bridge resource management.
  • Facilitate crew workshops using case studies and lessons learned from near misses.
  • Ensure bridge equipment is maintained and operated properly.

Cargo & Shipboard Operations

  • Collaborate with deck officers on cargo handling, stowage, and hazardous cargo management.
  • Lead discussions to improve safety and efficiency in cargo operations.

Ship Management & Compliance

  • Support the DPA in evaluating deck and safety activities.
  • Liaise with Technical Superintendents and Procurement to meet vessel requirements.
  • Oversee compliance with SMS, flag state rules, and operational procedures.
  • Manage key operational documentation including the Garbage Management Plan and Oil Record Book.

Continuous Improvement & Safety Culture

  • Analyze incidents, near misses, and non-conformities; implement fleet-wide corrective actions.
  • Ensure crew qualifications meet standards; conduct interviews for deck officers and ratings.

Emergency Preparedness & Audits

  • Lead safety and navigational audits, inspections, and drills.
  • Refine emergency response procedures through practical training and evaluations.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures.
You'll Thrive in This Role If You…
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies or equivalent qualifications.
  • Bring extensive seagoing or ship management experience.
  • Are well-versed in ISM compliance, navigation, cargo operations, and safety audits.
  • Excel at decision-making, problem-solving, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate effectively with crews, cross-functional teams, and regulators.
