From planning dry-docks to guiding emergency repairs, you'll combine technical expertise with strategic foresight. Your leadership will keep our ships seaworthy, compliant, and performing at their best.

Your Mission

Maintenance & Dry-Docking

  • Develop docking and repair specifications and budgets.
  • Plan and supervise dry-docking, corrective repairs, and vessel maintenance.
  • Coordinate with shipyards for quotations, schedules, and timely project completion.
  • Oversee procurement of critical supplies and spare parts.

Technical Oversight & Performance

  • Conduct vessel inspections and review Class survey reports.
  • Monitor vessel performance, including speed, fuel consumption, and certification status.
  • Evaluate contractors and suppliers for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Approve deviations from specifications and validate shipyard invoices.

Operational Support & Compliance

  • Provide technical guidance to Masters and Chief Engineers, especially during emergencies.
  • Monitor Safety Management System performance and compliance.
  • Assist with incident investigations and lead implementation of preventive measures.
  • Review and enhance safe working procedures.

Crew Development & Support

  • Evaluate and recommend engineers for vessel assignments.
  • Partner with the Crewing Manager on recruitment and training initiatives.
  • Assess crew performance through onboard visits and reporting.

Planning, Budgeting & Innovation

  • Develop annual maintenance budgets and plans.
  • Research new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Approve technical modifications and recommend promotions or transfers for engineering staff.
