About the Company

We are partnering with a well-established multinational company undergoing a strategic transformation to strengthen its project engineering capabilities in the region. As part of this evolution, they are looking to establish a local engineering hub that will support regional operations. Responsibilities

Reporting into regional leadership, the Head of Engineering will be responsible for setting up and leading a local engineering team, driving project excellence, and ensuring alignment with global business standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and lead a local engineering and project execution team from the ground up
  • Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Provide leadership and direction for project management teams, defining priorities and allocating resources
  • Monitor schedules, costs, risks, and project scopes, ensuring alignment with client expectations and internal standards
  • Facilitate best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the department
  • Manage departmental budgets and recovery rate targets
  • Ensure effective stakeholder communication and alignment with corporate structures, reporting lines, and governance processes
  • Promote a high-performance culture, ensuring staff development and team engagement
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to implement new strategies, tools, and processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, directives, and safety standards

Requirements

We're looking for a hands-on, strategic leader who combines technical competence with strong people and project management skills.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Proven experience managing complex engineering projects from end to end
  • Engineering background (mechanical or civil preferred, but other disciplines also considered)
  • Experience in industries such as food processing, manufacturing, Oil & Gas, or other relevant engineering-based sectors
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
