Novus Precision Partners is partnering with a leading international construction firm to recruit for a pivotal Hydrographic Engineer role on a significant mega-bridge tender project.

Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Hydrographic Engineer with a minimum of 7 years' relevant experience, specifically within marine construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting precise surveys to support all phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute high-precision hydrographic and bathymetric surveys to guide critical marine construction activities, including dredging, piling, and structural installation
  • Operate and manage sophisticated survey equipment, including multibeam sonar systems, GPS, and motion reference units
  • Process, analyse, and validate complex survey data to map seabed conditions, identify underwater features, and ensure strict adherence to project specifications
  • Serve as the key survey liaison, providing essential data and insights to the design, engineering, and planning teams to ensure seamless project integration
  • Uphold the highest standards of data accuracy, quality control, and reporting

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a Hydrographic Engineer
  • Proven background working on marine construction projects (e.g., bridges, ports, offshore structures, dredging)
  • Demonstrated expertise with sonar systems (multibeam/singlebeam), GNSS positioning, and data processing software (e.g., QPS, Hypack, AutoCAD)
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team on a major project
