Job Summary

The Data Engineering Unit Head will be responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of the bank's enterprise data infrastructure. This includes building high-performance, scalable, and secure data pipelines and platforms that power advanced analytics, business intelligence, and regulatory reporting.

The role requires deep technical expertise in modern data platforms, strong knowledge of banking data domains, and a proven ability to lead and grow high-performing data engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide data pipelines and platforms.
  • Ensure data solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized for analytics, reporting, and compliance needs.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in data modeling, governance, and integration.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders to align data engineering initiatives with enterprise strategy.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership or unit head role.
  • Strong expertise in Azure Data Platform Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, real-time streaming, and API integration.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale enterprise data projects, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory requirements in banking.
