Job Summary:

The Head Office Branch Cashier is responsible for handling cash and check transactions related to insurance premium collections, disbursements, and other financial activities at the head office branch. This role ensures accurate recording, safekeeping, and reporting of daily financial transactions in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process payments for insurance premiums (cash, checks, electronic payments).
  • Issue official receipts and ensure proper documentation of all collections.
  • Prepare daily collection reports and reconcile with system entries.
  • Deposit collections to the company's bank accounts in a timely manner.
  • Process petty cash transactions and maintain proper records.
  • Handle disbursements for branch expenses upon proper approvals.
  • Ensure safekeeping of cash, checks, and financial documents.
  • Coordinate with Accounting and Treasury departments for fund transfers and reports.
  • Assist in preparing documents for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashiering area and secure all assets.
  • Support customer inquiries related to payments and receipts.
  • Adhere to all internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Insurance Commission guidelines).

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in cashiering or treasury-related roles, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of non-life insurance operations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/cashiering systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or proprietary insurance software).
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision.
