Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other relevant documents to the project
• Review plans and estimate the quantity and costs of materials
• Analyze costs for maintenance and additional building needs
• Track changes in plans or constructions; update budgets
• Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
• Identify potential financial or construction risks
• Prepare an estimate of construction coast based on a quantity survey of Drawings and Specifications at the end of the Schematic Design Phase for approval by the PID Head.
• Advise clients on improvements, strategies, and/or estimated costs
• Prepare payments for contractors and subcontractors
• Document progress, materials, and reports on project
• Source maintenance costs and facilities management for clients
• Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors and subcontractors
• Analyze completed projects to determine ROI and compare costs

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Experience in estimating and cost engineering with jobsite experience
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other relevant documents to be presented to the Site Engineers or clients
• Determines cost estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost effective solutions
• Gathers proposals, specifications and related documents and liaise with stakeholders in order to convert specifications to cost estimates for new and current products
• Utilizes cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data
• Establishes cost estimates of production processes and tooling costs and review alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement
• Assesses cost effectiveness of products and track actual costs relative to budget and report status on a regular basis to ensure costs are in line with forecasts
• Monitors and reviews data and information to detect or assess problems
• Investigates and identifies cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review
• Contributes to cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures and monitor trends
• Prepares cost and expenditure statements, reports and other necessary documentation at regular intervals to share with others in the business
• Supports all activities in cost estimating and take a proactive approach towards improvements
• Liaises with stakeholders and support management decisions by providing appropriate cost information and data
• Provides cost estimates during change process and advice of cost impact of changes.
• Tracks and monitors weekly project activities
• Works with stakeholders to ensure estimates are accurate and to make appropriate adjustments and resolve issues
• Analyzes supplier quotes and provide information and data, which aids communications with suppliers and customers and achieves cost optimization.
• Ensures supplier quotations meet 'should cost' estimates
• Supports supplier meetings and negotiations to challenge quotation prices and aim for cost reductions to meet target costs
• Supports and utilizes experience to aid best practice in the supplier process in conjunction with members of the purchasing team
• Liaises with purchasing department to provide continued feedback to ensure competitive pricing.
• All duties and tasks delegated by the immediate managers will be completed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
