Job SummaryPreparing accurate cost estimatesJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator with a strong background in engineering, proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, and expertise in CAD software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, analytical skills, and effective communication.

Key ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze architectural and engineering blueprints, specifications, and project plans to determine scope and requirements. Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses. Utilize CAD software to interpret and modify designs as needed for accurate estimation and project planning.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project details. Conduct site visits and assessments to understand project conditions and identify potential challenges. Develop and maintain detailed records of estimates, budgets, and project timelines.

Monitor and analyze market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure cost estimates are competitive and up-to-date. Provide value engineering recommendations to optimize costs without compromising quality. Support the bidding process by preparing and presenting cost proposals to clients and stakeholders.

QualificationsExperience and Background in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant estimating tools.

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a high level of attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Familiarity with cost estimation software and tools is a plus.
