Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating electrical plans, and managing project costs for electrical systems. Your work will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Cost Estimates: Collect pricing information for electrical materials and labor to develop detailed and competitive project estimates.

  • Use Estimation Tools: Utilize spreadsheets, PlanSwift, and approved formulas to calculate total costs for electrical works.

  • Review Electrical Plans & Specifications: Analyze blueprints and technical documents to determine material quantities, installation requirements, and scope of work.

  • Analyze Project Costs: Break down and assess all cost components—including materials, labor, tools, and subcontracted services—to ensure accuracy.

  • Identify Cost Risks: Spot potential cost variations or uncertainties early to help keep the project within budget and on schedule.

  • Update Estimates: Adjust cost estimates promptly when there are changes in the project scope or new technical details are provided.

  • Review Subcontractor Proposals: Evaluate electrical subcontractor quotations and assist in contract negotiations for fairness and accuracy.

  • Document Materials: Record all required electrical materials, including product codes, specifications, brands, and supplier contact details for smooth procurement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Licensed Engineer (PRC or equivalent certification).

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation for electrical systems in construction projects.

  • Strong proficiency in estimation tools such as PlanSwift and Excel.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
