Your Impact on the Business
Your role as Forex Trader within the business has a significant impact on revenue generation and profitability. You are valuable in trading, sales, market analysis, client portfolio growth, and regulatory compliance. Your ability to execute trades successfully and contribute to decision-making processes plays a crucial role in the organization's financial success.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
Revenue Generation & Profitability
- Leads the day to day operations of assigned Trading Team activities to ensure that sales targets are met;
- Monitors and analyzes sales performance and recommends/ undertakes corrective actions and improvement plans to ensure that financial targets are met and exceeded to the Department Leaders in Forex;
- Grows client portfolio through synergized efforts with FOREX and other departments, or through self-generated leads; and
- Conducts marketing and social calls to high net-worth.
Forex Trading
- Trades foreign currencies by capitalizing on the difference between the market's buying and selling prices;
- Provides feedback to Head Trader and Forex Department Head on trading opportunities, market news, and service issues to assist in decision-making;
- Monitors and communicates foreign exchange levels
- Coordinates with Forex Back Office to ensure smooth workflow of all trade transactions;
- Keeps abreast of market developments and BSP rules to anticipate forex movement and regulatory actions;
- Attends seminars, briefings, talks to enhance trading knowledge and competency; and
- Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Forex Department Head.
People Development
- Builds the capabilities of the junior trader and apprentice by proactively managing the performance and competency development of each team member;
- Clarifies the roles, responsibilities and KPIs of each team member are understood to ensure achievement of targets; reviews and initiates modification as business requires;
- Trains and mentors team members in the execution of their duties, ensuring constant improvement in their professional skills, and preparing them for succession planning;
- Motivates, inspires and disciplines, when needed, team members to maximize their potentials and capabilities; and
- Create an atmosphere of respect, trust and accountability among team members to facilitate analytical, problem-solving and innovative thinking.
Qualifications
- Education.Bachelor's Degree Graduate of Business Administration or related field;
- Experience. Experience in Forex Trading or Market in a banking industry or equivalent;
- Skills. Excellent relationship building skills, strong business sense and industry expertise and with a rich sense of achievement;
- Certification. Certified Treasury Professional;
- Working Setup. Hybrid, at least 5 times a month in the HQ located in Legaspi Village, Makati; and
- Working Schedule.Monday to Friday, 44 hours weekly.
