With a growing back office presence in the Philippines, we are in search of an experienced Accounts Receivable person with exceptional English and communication skills.

All back office roles in Australia and the Philippines are remote in our company.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist with exceptional communication skills to manage the accounts receivable function within our Finance Team.

You will be expected to use your knowledge of the best practices for accounting, Google Sheets (Excel) and Xero to execute on the current way the accounts are being done while also being ambitious enough to bring new ideas forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receipting any invoices which have been paid, including those paid through Stripe
  • Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in customer billing or payment
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, or other irregularities and take appropriate actions to ensure timely payment
  • Generate and distribute customer account statements and invoices
  • Make collection contacts on a routine basis
  • Communicate with customers to address inquiries, resolve payment issues, and provide outstanding customer service
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve customer issues and improve processes
  • Assist with month-end closing processes as needed
  • Generate various reports related to accounts receivable as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related finance position
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with Xero accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
