The Net Metering Liaison Officer is responsible for managing the coordination and documentation of netmetering applications for solar power clients. This includes liaising with local government units (LGUs), electric cooperatives, and distribution utilities (e.g., SFELAPCO, PELCO, PRESCO, AEC) to ensure timely and compliant processing of all application requirements. The role demands a strong understanding of regulatory processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Document Collection & Verification○ Collect, review, and verify the completeness and accuracy of client-submitted documentsneeded for the Net Metering application.○ Coordinate with internal teams or departments to secure necessary technical documents andcertifications.

● Liaison with Government and Utility Offices○ Personally submit and follow up on documents with Distribution Utilities and relevant LGUssuch as City/Municipal Engineering Office, Building Official, and Fire Department.

○ Secure permits and approvals from Distribution Utilities and relevant LGUs such asCity/Municipal Engineering Office, Building Official, and Fire Department.

○ Attend required meetings, orientations, and inspections on behalf of the client and thecompany.

● Application Monitoring and Documentation, Client Coordination and Communication○ Track the progress of each application using internal tools or spreadsheets.○ Update the client and internal teams regularly on the status of the application.

● On-site Support○ Address application delays, missing documents, or rejections by coordinating with theappropriate parties to resolve issues.

○ Escalate concerns to the Net Metering Lead or After Sales Lead when process obstacles arise

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

● At least High School Graduate.

● Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for dealing with LGU and utility personnel.

● Ability to relay technical and process-related information to clients in a clear, friendly, and professional manner.

● Organized and detail-oriented; can manage multiple applications simultaneously.

● Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently despite external dependencies.

Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus):

● With 1–2 years of work experience in permitting, government liaison, or customer-facing roles is an advantage.

● Familiarity with Net Metering process and Solar Energy.

● Experience handling Pampanga Distribution Utilities, electric cooperatives, or LGU processes is highly preferred.

● Willing to travel frequently to client homes, LGUs, Distribution Utility branches, and inspection sites.

● Comfortable using platforms like Microsoft, Google Workspace, and similar tools
