A successful sports technology startup that's been operating a live platform for over a year, connecting sports businesses with customers through innovative mobile and web experiences. The platform serves as a marketplace where sports service providers showcase their offerings while users discover and engage with local sports businesses through seamless digital interactions.

Job Description:

You'll be the technical backbone of a thriving sports platform that's already making an impact in the market. As the go-to developer for this non-technical founder, you'll have the autonomy to manage platform maintenance, drive feature development, and ensure optimal performance across web and mobile applications. This role offers the perfect blend of stability (maintaining a live platform) and innovation (building new features), with the flexibility to work independently while contributing to meaningful growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor the live sports platform for optimal performance and user experience
  • Develop new features and enhancements across the full technology stack
  • Resolve bugs and technical issues to ensure seamless platform operation
  • Update and maintain APIs and SDKs for improved functionality
  • Manage multiple repositories within the GitHub environment
  • Conduct regular video check-ins with the founder to align on priorities and progress
  • Test and validate platform functionality across web and mobile applications
  • Handle code deployment and environment configurations across AWS and Google Console
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of full stack development experience with modern web technologies
  • Strong proficiency in React Native for mobile application development
  • Solid experience with for frontend web development
  • Proven knowledge of for backend development and API management
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience with GitHub for version control and multi-repository management
  • Familiarity with AWS and Google Console for cloud infrastructure
  • Bonus if you have experience with sports or marketplace platforms
  • It helps if you're comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Bonus if you have strong problem-solving skills for debugging and platform optimization
