About the Role

We're looking for proactive Full Stack Developer designs, builds, tests, and deploys web and mobile applications to support Harwell Home Care's goals. The role requires expertise in modern full stack technologies, independence, and input on feature design and architecture, ensuring applications are secure, scalable, high-performing, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Maintenance

  • Develop, test, and deploy features using React, React Native, and Expo for web and mobile platforms.
  • Build and manage scalable backends with PostgreSQL and Supabase.
  • Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented JavaScript code across the stack.
  • Deploy mobile applications to iOS and Android app stores.
  • Use Git and GitHub for version control, branching strategies, and peer reviews.
  • Experience using AI technologies and development tools. Contribute to and work with AI forward programming practices including spec driven software development using AI tools / IDE's.

Systems Integration & Automation

  • Integrate internal and external systems using Supabase APIs and custom connectors.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual tasks.
  • Assist in shaping the roadmap for technical evolution and system enhancements.

Collaboration & Support

  • Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical input into feature planning and design discussions.
  • Work effectively in a silo when needed, with the ability to take ownership of end-to-end delivery.
  • Collaborate with the digital and technology team to ensure cross-functional alignment.

Quality Assurance

  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Conduct peer code reviews to ensure high-quality and consistent coding practices.
  • Support release management processes, ensuring smooth deployments.

Continuous Improvement & AI Integration

  • Leverage AI-assisted IDE tools for faster prototyping, debugging, and productivity gains.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in full stack and mobile development.
  • Recommend improvements to architecture, development processes, and security practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years experience as a Full Stack Engineer
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical business solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with APIs, system integration, or automation tools.
  • Exposure to AI services and agentic tools
  • Knowledge of security best practices in software development.
  • Knowledge of CD/CI
