Solace Hotel Makati, a charming 41-room boutique hotel with versatile function rooms, seeks a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Events Executive to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Sales & Events Executive will be responsible for driving revenue through proactive sales initiatives for guest rooms and function rooms, managing online travel agency (OTA) platforms, securing event bookings, and ensuring seamless event execution. This role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, organizational, and sales skills, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and implement proactive sales strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue for guest rooms and function rooms.
  • Identify and target potential clients, including corporate clients, event planners, and individual guests.
  • Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and presentations to promote the hotel's facilities and services.
  • Negotiate and close contracts for guest room bookings and event bookings.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and competitor activity.

Online Travel Agency (OTA) Management:

  • Manage and optimize the hotel's presence on various OTA platforms (e.g., , Expedia, Airbnb).
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date information regarding room availability, rates, and promotions.
  • Monitor and respond to guest reviews and feedback on OTA platforms.
  • Analyze OTA data to identify opportunities for revenue optimization.

Event Management:

  • Respond to event inquiries and provide detailed proposals to potential clients.
  • Conduct thorough event consultations to understand client requirements and preferences.
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including logistics, catering, audiovisual equipment, and décor.
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g., kitchen, housekeeping) and external suppliers to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Oversee on-site event management, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Prepare and manage event budgets and invoices.
  • Follow up with clients after events to gather feedback and build relationships.

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate sales records and generate reports as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests and clients.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in sales and event management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations and sales principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel property management systems (PMS).
  • Experience managing OTA platforms is essential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Fluency in English and Tagalog
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
