Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As the second-in-command in the kitchen, the Sous Chef plays a critical role in food preparation, kitchen leadership, and staff supervision. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations, high-quality dishes, and an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Oversee kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote skill development and teamwork.
- Help develop new menu items and specials based on seasonal ingredients or trends.
- Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Manage kitchen opening and closing procedures.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues related to food quality or service.
