We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join our Banquets & Events Kitchen team. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes for a wide range of banquets, conferences, weddings, and special events. Working under the guidance of the Executive Sous Chef the Chef de Partie will ensure consistent high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with the event menu and kitchen standards.
  • Oversee a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., hot, cold, pastry, or garde manger) and ensure smooth service during events.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of banquet and event menus.
  • Maintain portion control, food cost efficiency, and minimal wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
  • Support the Sous Chef in supervising and guiding junior chefs, apprentices, and kitchen stewards.
  • Work collaboratively with the banqueting operations team to meet event timelines and guest expectations.
  • Ensure mise en place is complete and stations are properly set up ahead of service.
  • Contribute creative ideas to menu development and special event offerings.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization of work areas and kitchen equipment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef in a hotel, resort, or high-volume banquets/events kitchen.
  • Strong culinary skills across a variety of cuisines, with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Knowledge of large-scale food preparation and plating techniques for banquets and buffets.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards, HACCP, and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • A team player with good communication and leadership qualities.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
