Role Overview:

The resource will be embedded with the customer's team to resolve immediate performance issues and establish long-term best practices. Key responsibilities include:

  • Tuning the existing Slurm cluster to address configuration issues and performance bottlenecks during large model training
  • Reviewing storage and performance options to accelerate training
  • Creating high-quality documentation and processes for the client's internal team to support future AI Hypercomputer projects
  • Providing best-practice documentation for setting up Slurm AI infrastructure

Current Environment:

  • Cluster setup: 4 × a3-ultragpu-8g (H200's)
  • Slurm Cluster configured with Cluster Toolkit
  • Filestore and GCS Fuse used for storage
  • MCP's customer is training models and needs to fully utilize the H200 GPUs
