Is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and systems on drilling rigs. This includes engines, pumps, generators, hydraulic systems, and other rig-related machinery. The role ensures that all mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently to support uninterrupted drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rig equipment including diesel engines, pumps, air compressors and hydraulic systems.

· Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.

· Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify wear, damage or potential failure points.

· Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.

· Follow all safety protocols and procedures in compliance with company and regulatory standard.

· Work closely with other rig personnel to ensure smooth operation of all equipment.

· Assist in rig-up and rig-down procedures when required.

· Order and manage parts and tools inventory.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanics is preferred.

· Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the oil & gas or drilling industry.

· Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and rig systems.

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

· Good communication and problem-solving skills.

· Physical fit and able to work in challenging environments, including offshore or remote locations.

Working Conditions:

· May be required to work long shifts, including nights and weekends.

· Work may be performed in extreme weather conditions and physically demanding environments.

· Must be able to travel to remote drilling sites as needed.
