Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Rig Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of drilling rigs and mechanical systems through moderately complex construction, operation, maintenance and repair tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on drilling rigs and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and implement timely solutions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing improvements to equipment, work processes and safety practices.
  • Handle escalated tasks and complex mechanical challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • Senior Secondary vocational education or equivalent professional and intellectual capacity.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in drilling rig maintenance and repair, preferably in a senior or lead mechanic role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, engines, and rig components.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision on varied and moderately complex tasks.
  • Experience working in both field and workshop environments.
