1. Project Planning & Execution:

  • Regularly monitor project progress through progress reports, site visits, and updates to Gantt charts, making necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules ensuring we meet client's timelines
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability.
  • Establish key project milestones and create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) to assign responsibilities and timelines across the Project Team.

2. Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and train junior project managers and engineers, focusing on developing their technical skills and project management capabilities.
  • Coordinate with Management to ensure proper staffing and resource availability.

3. Risk & Issue Management:

  • Conduct detailed risk assessments for each project phase, identifying potential risks such as design flaws, installation challenges, supply chain delays, or subcontractor performance issues.
  • Develop contingency plans and lead efforts to resolve any unexpected project challenges, including design changes, site complications, or regulatory changes.

4. Technical Oversight:

  • Ensure that all installations are compliant with project specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support for complex mechanical challenges.
  • Review mechanical system shop drawings, submittals, and installation plans for accuracy and compliance with design requirements.

5. Cost Management:

  • Prepare financial reports for upper management, identifying areas for potential savings and opportunities for additional revenue (e.g., change orders or value engineering).

6. Quality Assurance & Control:

  • Oversee and coordinate system testing and commissioning processes, ensuring HVAC and Mechanical Systems operate as intended and meet performance criteria.
  • Ensure the delivery of all necessary project documentation, including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and warranty information.

7. Project Closeout & Post-Completion Support:

  • Oversee project closeout activities, ensuring that all work is completed, tested, and approved before the final handover.
  • Lead final inspections with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure all punch list items are completed satisfactorily.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  2. Experience: 6+ years of experience in project management within the mechanical contracting or construction industry.
  3. Experience managing project budgets of PHP 25M+ with demonstrated cost control success
