Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor occupational safety & health (OSH) policies and programs in compliance with DOLE regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, hazard identification, accident/incident investigations, and maintain safety records.
  • Conduct safety training/orientations, toolbox talks, promote safe work behaviours and culture.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies (DOLE, DENR, BFP) and prepare required compliance reports.
  • Ensure use of PPE, safe procedures, emergency preparedness plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (often Engineering, Safety, Nursing, or related) preferred.
  • Certification such as BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety & Health) or COSH (Construction Occupational Safety & Health) is required in many postings.
  • Several years of experience (commonly 2-5 for SO2, 5+ for SO3) in safety roles, manufacturing, construction or facility environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine OSH regulations, DOLE standards, incident investigation, risk assessment practices.
  • Good communication, training, and coordination skills; readiness for inspections/fieldwork.
