Safety Officer / Pollution Control Officer (PCO)

Location: Pasig City

Employment Type: Full-time

Casterly Ventures Corp., an IT warehouse and service operations company specializing in computer and laptop repair, assessment, and data handling, is looking for a Safety Officer / Pollution Control Officer (PCO) to ensure compliance with occupational safety and environmental regulations.

This role is vital in maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant workplace where both personnel and IT equipment are handled responsibly.

Major Responsibilities

Safety Officer Duties:

  • Monitor and manage daily safety compliance across warehouse and repair operations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of work areas, repair stations, and storage zones to identify and mitigate risks (electrical, ergonomic, and fire hazards).
  • Track, manage, and report safety performance based on DOLE reporting requirements.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, and prepare corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with DOLE OHS Standards and company safety protocols for handling tools, electronics, and hazardous materials (e.g., batteries, cleaning chemicals).
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety orientations, and toolbox meetings with staff and contractors.
  • Submit required safety reports to DOLE and support internal audits related to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2015 standards.

Pollution Control Officer Duties:

  • Supervise proper waste segregation, storage, and disposal of electronic waste (e-waste), packaging materials, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ensure compliance with DENR, and local environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with accredited waste haulers for collection and treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Maintain records and submit periodic reports to DENR and other agencies as required.
  • Conduct regular inspections and recommend improvements to reduce environmental impact within the warehouse and operations area.
  • Liaise with government bodies on permits, inspections, and environmental compliance matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • DOLE-accredited Safety Officer (SO2 or higher) required.
  • DENR-accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) certification is an advantage.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or IT service facility safety and environmental management.
  • Knowledgeable in DOLE OHS Standards, DENR regulations, and safe handling of IT and electronic materials.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
