About the Role
We're looking for a highly skilled Email Designer with a marketer's mindset—someone who blends strong visual design with lifecycle thinking and an understanding of what drives clicks, conversions, and customer engagement. In this hybrid role, you'll take full ownership of email campaigns—from designing in Figma to building and optimizing in Klaviyo.
This role is ideal for a designer who's not only creative but also performance-aware. You'll be expected to understand how layout, hierarchy, and messaging influence results, and how to iterate based on data. You'll collaborate with strategists, copywriters, and clients to deliver high-performing email experiences across the customer journey.
Responsibilities
- Design compelling, brand-aligned emails in Figma with a strong focus on clarity, usability, and conversion
- Build and launch automated flows and one-off campaigns in Klaviyo, owning the process end-to-end
- Translate lifecycle insights and customer behavior into effective design and campaign strategies
- Collaborate closely with writers and strategists to align visuals and messaging
- Analyze performance metrics (CTR, CVR, LTV, etc.) and use insights to optimize creative and flow structure
- Ensure mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and deliverability best practices are followed
- Adapt your design approach depending on the type of campaign—e.g., fast-turn promos vs. high-design brand sends
Competencies and QualificationsMust-Have
- Strong portfolio of email designs created in Figma
- 2–4 years of experience designing and executing email campaigns, ideally for e-commerce/DTC brands
- Working knowledge of Klaviyo (flows, campaigns, A/B testing, segmentation)
- Solid grasp of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and email UX/UI best practices
- Ability to design for both brand expression and performance outcomes
- Familiarity with email metrics and a clear understanding of how creative impacts them
- Comfortable owning the end-to-end email process in fast-paced environments
Nice-to-Have
- Experience designing or building SMS campaigns
- Basic HTML knowledge for minor layout tweaks
- Familiarity with audience segmentation and targeting
- Copywriting skills or experience collaborating closely with content teams
