JOB ROLE:

The Merchandising Officer is responsible for end-to-end merchandising operations, including product planning, ordering, forecasting, allocation, replenishment, pricing, inventory management, and distribution. The role requires close coordination with stores, corporate accounts, and reseller partners to ensure product availability, sales growth, and operational efficiency across all channels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Merchandise Planning and Forecasting

  2. Consolidate sales data from stores, corporate accounts, and resellers to prepare accurate forecasts.

  3. Plan product assortments and allocations per channel, season, and sales trend.

  4. Recommend reorders, phase-outs, and new product introductions based on demand.

  5. Order and Procurement Coordination

  6. Prepare purchase orders based on forecasted requirements and forward to supply chain.
  7. Monitor supplier lead times and coordinate with supply chain/logistics for on-time deliveries.

  8. Ensure order accuracy and timely replenishment of key SKUs

  9. Inventory Management, Allocation, and Replenishment

  10. Track stock levels and ensure balanced allocation across stores, corporate partners, and resellers

  11. Implement replenishment strategies to minimize stock-outs and overstocks.
  12. Monitor inventory turnover and initiate markdowns or transfers when needed.

  13. Manage stock distribution plans aligned with sales performance and store capacity

  14. Corporate Accounts and Resellers Management

  15. Act as the main point of contact for corporate clients and reseller partners regarding product catalogs, pricing, and availability.

  16. Provide merchandising guidelines, updated price lists, and product assortments tailored to each partner's needs.

  17. Support resellers and corporate partners in promotional events and merchandising activities

  18. Pricing and Merchandising Strategy

  19. Support pricing strategies based on costs, competition, and margin requirements.

  20. Ensure consistent application of pricing across stores, corporate accounts, and reseller channels.

  21. Recommend promotions or markdowns to improve self-through.

  22. Reporting and Analysis

  23. Generate weekly and monthly and monthly sales, stock, and order status reports

  24. Analyze sell-through, pricing effectiveness, and stock performance.
  25. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management for decision-making

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have an experience from the Retail Industry
  • Has the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and forecasting data to support decision-making
  • Strong skills in managing timelines, priorities, and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
