THE MERCHANDISING OFFICER

The Merchandising Officer is responsible for end-to-end merchandising operations, including product planning, ordering, forecasting, allocation, replenishment, pricing, inventory management, and distribution. This role requires close coordination with retail stores, e-commerce platforms, corporate accounts, and reseller partners to ensure product availability, sales growth, and operational efficiency across all channels.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate demand forecasts and optimized product assortment.
  • Consolidate sales data from retail stores, e-commerce platforms, corporate accounts, and resellers to prepare accurate forecasts.
  • Plan product assortments and allocations per channel, season, and sales trend.
  • Recommend reorders, phase-outs, and new product introductions based on demand.
  • Prepare purchase orders based on forecasted requirements and forward to supply chain
  • Monitor supplier lead times and coordinate with supply chain/ logistics for on-time deliveries.
  • Ensure order accuracy and timely replenishment of key SKUs.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Track stock levels and ensure balanced allocation across retail stores, e-commerce platforms, corporate partners, and resellers.
  • Implement replenishment strategies to minimize stock-outs and overstocks.
  • Monitor inventory turnover and initiate markdowns or transfers when needed.
  • Manage stock distribution plans aligned with sales performance and store capacity.
  • Act as the main point of contact for corporate clients and reseller partners regarding product catalogs, pricing, and availability

You'll also get to:

  • Coordinate special orders, seasonal requirements, and bulk purchases.
  • Provide merchandising guidelines, updated price lists, and product assortments tailored to each partner's needs.
  • Support reseller and corporate partners in promotional events and merchandising activities.
  • Support pricing strategies based on costs, competition, and margin requirements.
  • Ensure consistent application of pricing across retail stores, e-commerce platforms, corporate accounts, and reseller channels.
  • Recommend promotions or markdowns to improve sell-through.

You'll Drive Change Through:

  • Providing actionable insights to improve merchandising decisions.
  • Generating weekly and monthly sales, stock, and order status reports.
  • Analyzing sell-through, pricing effectiveness, and stock performance.
  • Providing actionable insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).

·       Experience in merchandising, inventory management, or retail operations.

·       Knowledge of retail, e-commerce, and wholesale distribution channels.

·       Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.

·       Familiarity with merchandising and inventory software is a plus.
