Job Summary:
As the Merchandise Manager for our Fashion & Apparel client, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's retail growth and merchandise strategies for their biggest brand. In this full-time position based in Makati City, Metro Manila, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, purchasing, and allocation of merchandise to ensure optimal product availability and profitability.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic merchandising plans to align with the company's overall business objectives
  • Analyze sales data, consumer trends, and market intelligence to make informed buying decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as design and marketing, to ensure a cohesive brand identity and customer experience
  • Manage the product lifecycle, from forecasting and purchasing to inventory management and markdown planning
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible terms and pricing
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, making data-driven recommendations to improve overall business performance

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a merchandising or buying role within the fashion and apparel industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the full product lifecycle, from planning to allocation
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret sales trends and consumer insights
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (ie. Excel), with the ability to use data analysis tools
  • Willing to report on a hybrid setup (4 days onsite, 1 day WFH) in Makati**
