We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Real Estate Trust Accountant / Sales Administrator to join our team. This role is crucial for providing dedicated financial and administrative support to our clients in the Australian real estate industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trust accounting and a keen eye for detail, ensuring the integrity of all financial and administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily processing and reconciliation of rental trust account transactions.
  • Prepare and process sales trust account transactions, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant.
  • Process and manage Vendor Paid Advertising (VPA) fees and invoices.
  • Prepare settlement statements for property sales.
  • Assist with a wide range of general real estate sales administration tasks as required.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial and administrative records.

This role is not for individuals who:

  • Lack experience in Australian real estate trust accounting.
  • Are unwilling to use real estate software such as VaultRE and PropertyMe.
  • Require constant supervision and are unable to work autonomously.
  • Are looking for a temporary or part-time position.
  • Do not have exceptional attention to detail, as errors in trust accounting are not acceptable.
  • Are uncomfortable with a high-stakes, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Mandatory: Proven experience in Australian real estate trust accounting, with specific experience in the Victoria market being highly advantageous.
  • Mandatory: Proficiency with real estate software, particularly VaultRE and PropertyMe.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end real estate sales process.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively.
