Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Premises Manager with a pleasing personality and strong client-focused approach to oversee the day-to-day operations of commercial properties. The ideal candidate will combine technical facilities management expertise with exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver outstanding service to tenants and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Facilities Management
  • Oversee daily building operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and vendor management
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Manage building budgets and control operational expenses
  • Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with external contractors
  • Conduct regular property inspections and address maintenance issues promptly
Client Relations & Tenant Services
  • Serve as primary point of contact for tenants and building occupants
  • Handle tenant requests, concerns, and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Coordinate tenant improvements and space modifications
  • Organize tenant events and communications
  • Ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction and retention
Administrative & Strategic Functions
  • Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with lease administration and tenant move-ins/move-outs
  • Support property marketing and leasing activities
  • Implement sustainability initiatives and cost-saving measures
  • Participate in emergency response planning and execution
Required Qualifications
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in facilities management
  • Minimum 5+ years of facilities management experience in commercial real estate
  • Proven track record in client relations and customer service excellence
  • Experience managing building operations, maintenance, and vendor relationships
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety)
  • Familiarity with facility management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Understanding of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Budget management and financial analysis capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications (FMP, CFM, CPM, or similar)

  • Previous experience in corporate real estate or property management
  • Bilingual capabilities (depending on location)
