I. JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Officer is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing business opportunities in renewable energy. The role emphasizes client engagement, market development, and revenue generation, requiring a balance of technical understanding and strong interpersonal skills.
The Sales Officer serves as the client's primary point of contact from initial inquiry and proposal presentation to contract negotiation and project turnover, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business. This position works closely with the Technical, Engineering, and Project Implementation teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with client needs and company objectives.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Business Development and Lead Generation
· Identify potential clients through market research, networking, referrals, and industry events.
· Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients, both commercial and industrial.
· Conduct client meetings, presentations, and discussions to introduce the company's solar energy solutions.
· Prepare and submit proposals, quotations, and feasibility studies in coordination with the technical team.
· Follow up on proposals, negotiate terms, and secure client approvals or contracts.
· Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals within the agreed timelines.
2. Client Relationship Management
· Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
· Serve as the key account manager for assigned clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project life cycle.
· Address client concerns, coordinate resolutions with internal teams, and maintain regular communication.
· Gather client feedback to improve service quality and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
3. Coordination and Reporting
· Coordinate with the Engineering and Project Teams to ensure technical accuracy in proposals and successful project delivery.
· Monitor the progress of signed contracts and maintain visibility on project milestones.
· Prepare regular sales activity reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates for management.
· Represent the company in trade shows, client events, and industry gatherings to promote brand awareness.
III. QUALIFICATIONS:
· Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Engineering background is preferred but not required if the candidate has strong sales experience in technical or renewable products.
· Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years experience in B2B sales, preferably in solar, electrical, construction, or energy-related industries.
· Proven track record of achieving sales quotas and managing business accounts.
· Skills:
o Strong business development and financial management skills
o Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities
o Strategic planning and execution expertise
o Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex projects
o Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills

V. WORKING CONDITIONS
· Primarily office-based with regular coordination across departments and project sites

· May be required to work extended hours based on business needs
