QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of Finance Principles
  • Knowledge of Financial Reporting
  • knowledge of local, state and federal national laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation
  • sound and tested technical accounting skills
  • previous experience of general accounting work
  • proficiency and relevant accounting software

JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • prepare timely and accurate journal entries to record financial transactions
  • complete general ledger operations
  • monthly closing and preparation of monthly financial statement
  • reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts - GL & SL accounts
  • prepare and publish monthly financial reports to management and other users of these information
  • prepare analysis of accounts
  • assist with year-end closings and preparation for internal and external audit
  • liaise and work closely with Account Receivable and Accounts Payable with respect to the assigned vehicle brands
  • prepare tax computations and be responsible for the punctual filing of their corresponding returns
  • assist in preparing department budgets and forecasts
  • assist with payroll administrations
  • monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences
  • subsidiary ledger account/bank reconciliations
  • review, process and analyze departmental operating expense reports of assigned vehicle brands
  • assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
  • assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial control and procedure

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA preferred but not required
  • Technical Skills and Prior Experience. At least five (5) years prior experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
  • Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-pace setting. Experience with an accounting system a plus. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word.

  • Strong interpersonal and internal and external customer service skills required
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES :

General accounting functions include preparing of journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and accounts inclusive bank reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings of books and account analyses and supporting the Accounting Manager / Accounting Supervisors in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance and Accounting Department.
