Electrical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Construction Tech Management: Provide on-site technical guidance for electrical construction of booster stations, energy storage systems (BESS) and centralized PV plants; ensure construction plans are implemented and resolve technical issues.

  • Quality & Safety Control: Supervise construction quality per IEC standards and Philippine PEC; focus on grounding, insulation testing and lightning protection; conduct safety briefings and hazard inspections.

  • Progress Coordination: Assist in formulating electrical construction schedules, track key milestones, and coordinate with teams, suppliers and supervisors to meet deadlines.

  • Equipment & Data Management: Participate in equipment acceptance (transformers, inverters, etc.); organize and archive construction records, test reports and acceptance documents.

  • On-site Communication: Coordinate with local supervisors, clients and government departments (DOE, NGCP) for technical issues and acceptance procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: bachelor degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power System Automation; Philippine Registered Electrical Engineer (RME/PEE) certificate preferred.

  • Experience: 3+ years of electrical construction management experience; priority for those with 69kV+ booster station, 10MWh+ BESS or 50MWp+ PV plant experience.

  • Skills: Proficient in reading electrical drawings and manuals; familiar with quality standards; basic English (reading/writing); CAD and test tools (multimeter, insulation tester) skills preferred.

  • Qualities: Adaptable to outdoor and long-term on-site work; strong responsibility, problem-solving and communication skills; team player.
